
US transfers 50 armored security vehicles to Kosovo


The United States has transferred 50 armored security vehicles to Kosovo as part of the Defense Excess Items Program.
The announcement from the US Embassy in Pristina states that Kosovo, using its defense resources, will bring these vehicles to full operational capacity, marking another step in the joint commitment to strengthening the defense capacity of the Kosovo Security Force and to strengthening the security of both countries.
The acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, announced through a post on social networks that new armored vehicles procured in the United States of America for the Kosovo army have been received.
" Today I was honored to participate, together with the Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, the Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, and the Army Attaché at the Embassy of the United States of America in Kosovo, Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Shaw, in the handover ceremony of armored vehicles procured in the USA for the KSF.
