Fires in North Macedonia! Border customs in Glloboqicë closed

The National Border Management Center in Kosovo has announced that the Kosovo-North Macedonia border crossing in Glloboqicë was closed on Friday afternoon, due to fires on the Macedonian side.

According to the report, the fire is near the road to the village of Jazhincë. Due to the danger, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of North Macedonia has decided to temporarily close the border.

"We would like to inform you that at around 15:40, we were informed by the Macedonian side that, due to a large fire that has approached the road to the village of Jazhincë and the danger it poses, by order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Staff of the Republic of North Macedonia, the RKS-RMV border at the Glloboqicë BCP has been closed ," the National Center for Border Management said in a statement.

This is not the first time that fires have closed the border with North Macedonia this year. A similar incident occurred on at least two occasions in early July.
