Berisha receives Italian MP, Gjekmarkaj also meets with Këlliçi

Sali Berisha received Forza Italia MP Erica Mazzetti and the DP coordinator for Italy, Bardhok Doda, in his office this afternoon. In a Facebook post, the head of the blue headquarters stated that the meeting discussed the May 11 elections, which the leader of the Democrat Party calls an electoral farce.

" I had the pleasure of welcoming to the office my good and long-time friends and those of the Democratic Party, Erica Mazzetti, MP for Forza Italia, as well as the DP coordinator for Italy, Bardhok Doda, coordinator for Forza Italia, together with Dritan Beqiri and Lindita Bimi. 

The meeting was also attended by DP officials Agron Gjekmarkaj, Belind Këlliçi and Enri Çeno. We discussed extensively the electoral farce of May 11 and the great work that the Democratic Party structures are doing to identify and substantiate this unprecedented manipulation ," Berisha writes.

Berisha asked the Italian MP that her party be a strong voice and advocate for Albanian democracy in international institutions, as he described the meeting with her as fruitful and encouraging.

"We emphasized the necessity for Forza Italia to be a strong voice and advocate for Albanian democracy in international institutions, supporting our cause for the restoration of legal order and freedom of the vote in Albania. Democrats and our European friends are united to stop autocracy and restore hope and democracy in the country. The meeting was fruitful and encouraging."
