Reported missing/Here's what Arben Ahmetaj stated: Daniel Shima was threatened by Rama to keep his mouth shut

A serious incident occurred today in the center of Tiarana, where former Deputy Director of the Albanian National Agency for the Protection of Children, Daniel Shima, is reported to have disappeared.

His family has filed a police report, saying they have lost contact with him since 1:30 p.m.

What did Ahmetaj declare about Daniel Shima?

Former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj, in an interview from the run in July 2024, spoke about an environmental wiretap captured by SPAK for tenders worth 43 million euros or 43 billion lek, through the National Agency for the Information Society.

According to Ahmetaj, Daniel Shima was threatened by Rama to keep his mouth shut.

" AKSHI is terrible. Daniel has been threatened. Now those who understand know very well that he should shut up. Daniel has been threatened by the Prime Minister himself to shut up. Let him come out and make jokes, no he said...", Ahmetaj declared at the time.

Daniel Shima held the position of deputy director of the National Agency for the Information Society until recently, a position that ranks him as one of the highest-ranking officials of this agency, directly after the director Mirlinda Karçanaj.

But the day his boss Mirlinda Karçanaj was summoned to the Special Prosecution Office, he was fired.

The head of the most important agency for the management and improvement of technology and information systems in Albanian state institutions was questioned for several hours on March 19, 2024 at SPAK premises and immediately after leaving there, she returned to the office and signed the dismissal of Daniel Shimë, now a person considered missing.
