The fires left behind colossal consequences, Minister Vengu shows how compensation will be made for homes, businesses and agricultural crops

The assessment and compensation of damages caused by the fires will be carried out in each affected municipality, according to a special procedure, which begins with their identification by the Assessment Group for the inventory of damages, established by order of the Mayor.

This was announced by Defense Minister Pirro Vengu in a reaction on social media, while it was also announced earlier by Prime Minister Edi Rama.

" This group carries out an inventory of damages to housing, infrastructure, businesses, agricultural crops, mechanical equipment, social-cultural facilities and fills out forms with financial costs. Then, the municipalities prepare lists of damaged entities and relevant documentation and after the financial assessment of each municipality, the cost of compensation is determined, which is carried out from the funds of the affected municipality, through the civil protection fund ," writes Vengu.
