Accused of kidnapping daughter, international arrest warrant issued for Fero's ex-wife

The Basic Court in Gjilan has issued an arrest warrant and an international arrest warrant against Arbenita Ismajli, following the request of the Basic Prosecution Office.

According to authorities, Ismajli is suspected of failing to implement a court decision that granted her former partner, Feroni Shabani, the right to regular visits with their daughter.

The prosecution says that she removed the daughter from Kosovo and stayed with her in several countries abroad since September 2024, preventing the father from having contact with the child.

On July 10, 2025, she was indicted for:

Unauthorized child custody

Disrespect for the court's decision

Meanwhile, the Gjilan Prosecution has also filed an indictment against Feroni Shabani, for:

Threats made against Ismajli during the period June–October 2024.

The court confirmed that the actions were taken "in accordance with the law and legislation in force".
