Last month, the name of moderator and former Big Brother VIP Albania resident, Meriton Mjekiqi, was widely discussed in the media after his arrest in connection with a physical altercation, where the victim suffered serious bodily injuries.

Today, August 19, 2025, Mjekiqi reacted for the first time after his release from custody. Through a post on Instagram Story, he informed the public, friends and family about the court's decision.

"With respect, I would like to announce that I have been released from the detention in which I was held. I thank the lawyers for their professionalism and dedication throughout this period. Thank you all for your patience, understanding and support ," he wrote.

In the post, Mjekiqi is seen next to his lawyers, giving messages of gratitude to all those who supported him during this time.
