Harry and Meghan sign new multi-year deal with Netflix

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced that they are extending their deal for films and television series with Netflix.
This has been described as a "multi-year, first-look deal", which would give Netflix a first option on proposals from Prince Harry and Meghan's production company Archewell, writes the BBC.
It's a looser deal than their previous agreement - but it dismisses claims that the Sussex couple and Netflix will split completely.
Meghan said she and Harry were inspired by the partnership with Netflix to "create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally and celebrates our shared vision."
It is not known how many years the deal will last or what financial terms are attached to it. The previous deal, which began in 2020, was believed to be worth around $100 million.
The announcement comes ahead of the second series of the cooking show, With Love, Meghan, airing later this month.
Audience figures from Netflix showed that the first series was not even in the streaming service's 300 most popular series in the first half of 2025.
With “Love, Meghan,” a lifestyle series that featured Meghan cooking with celebrity friends, it had 5.3 million views. In comparison, the most-watched show on Netflix during that time was the drama “Adolescence,” with 145 million views.
A previous Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan, which chronicled the couple's departure from their lives as "working royals", had a larger audience, with 23.4 million views since its launch in December 2022.
