The famous actor was stopped and asked for his identification document by the Guardia Civil, just a few steps away from a villa where he was attending a private party organized by Spanish singer Arón Piper, along with other celebrities.
The incident, which occurred last month, only became public after a short video went viral showing DiCaprio waiting in line with his partner, model Vittoria Ceretti, and dozens of others, during checks by police officers.
According to witnesses cited by Spanish media, the actor was calm and cooperative during the search, which was part of normal security procedures for the event and not the result of a specific investigation.
A source told the Daily Mail: "Every guest was checked and identified," describing the situation as a regular security measure.
Over the summer, DiCaprio attended several high-profile events, including the One Summer Gala in Saint-Tropez, where he appeared with Ceretti, Natasha Poonawalla, Christian Louboutin and Jamie Foxx.
