Taylor Swift returns with new album, here's when it's expected to be released

After intense speculation over the past 24 hours, Taylor Swift has announced her 12th studio album, titled "The Life of a Showgirl."

Swift announced the album on her website shortly after a countdown ended at 12:12 a.m. ET (06:12 CET) this morning.

This came after “Taylor Nation,” an official branch of the singer's marketing team, posted a series of 12 images on TikTok with the caption: “Thinking about when she said 'See you in the next era...'” In each photo, Swift is seen wearing orange.

Noticing a pattern, fans noticed that 12 minutes earlier, the popular podcast New Heights, hosted by Swift's partner Travis Kelce, had aired a warning. The show posted an orange image of a mysterious silhouette on social media.

Later, a promotional video posted for her appearance showed Swift pulling the album out of a bag. The actual album cover, like the one on her website, remains a mystery for now.

The podcast will be released tomorrow at 7:00 PM ET (1:00 AM CET) and will mark her first appearance on her partner's show, although they have been a couple since 2023.
