Donnarumma unwanted, but PSG demand at least 40 million euros for the goalkeeper

Gianluigi Donnarumma is experiencing a difficult moment in his career.
Despite being the absolute protagonist in Paris Saint-Germain's historic Champions League triumph, as well as winner of three other seasonal trophies, coach Luis Enrique has decided to exclude him from his technical project.
The decision was followed by the approach of French goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier, whom Enrique sees as the most suitable profile for the club's future.
For Donnarumma, who only has one year of contract with PSG, this situation is a huge blow, facing disappointment and a sense of rejection.
However, despite the circumstances, the Parisian club's leaders refuse to let him go: according to Sky Sports UK, the Italian national team goalkeeper is still valued at between 40 and 50 million euros.
The most likely destination seems to be Manchester City. Donnarumma prefers the Premier League and sees Pep Guardiola's team as the ideal choice, especially with the possibility of Ederson leaving the Etihad Stadium.
However, so far there has been no concrete contact between PSG and City, nor with the player's representatives.
The main obstacle for the English champions is related to goalkeeping management: before making a move for Donnarumma, they must get rid of one of the current goalkeepers.
With James Trafford already transferred this summer to City, the choice seems clear.
Donnarumma's future remains in limbo, between his desire for the Premier League and PSG's difficulty in letting him go without a major financial gain.
