Juventus is moving strongly in the transfer market and is ready to take a concrete step towards the transfer of Edon Zhegrova.
The black and white club wants to reunite the Kosovar striker with Jonathan David, recreating the duo that excelled at Lille, with the aim of building a high-level offensive unit in Turin.
According to Tuttosport, negotiations have progressed at a positive pace and an agreement has already been reached with agent Hasan Çetinkaya for a contract until 2030, with a salary of around 2.5 million euros per season plus bonuses.
Currently, Lille is asking around 25 million euros for Zhegrova's card, but given that the transfer deadline is closing, the amount could drop to 18-20 million euros.
However, before the purchase can be finalized, Juventus must secure a sale, with the most talked about name being Douglas Luiz. The Brazilian midfielder is very close to moving to Nottingham Forest, for a loan deal with an obligation to buy, which is expected to reach around 30 million euros. If this transfer is official, it will open up financial space and a free place in the squad for Zhegrova.
This development would give Juventus a huge advantage over Olympique Marseille, who have also shown interest in the Kosovar, but are facing internal problems and the need to sell players like Jonathan Rowe and Adrien Rabiot.
Under these conditions, the Black and Whites are seen as favorites to secure the services of Edon Zhegrova, who could become the last big blow of the summer transfer window in Turin.
