Actor Naun Shundi's serious health condition, two ministries guarantee medical treatment

Renowned actor, director and playwright Naun Shundi is facing a battle with his health. The illness has forced him to leave his job at the Zonja e Bujtinas theater, which he founded.

The artist was sent for specialized treatment to a hospital in France, but the high financial costs have forced the family to seek help. To this end, the Ministries of Health and Culture have guaranteed medical treatment.

The Ministry of Health and Social Protection, in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation, clarifies public opinion regarding the health condition of the renowned actor Naun Shundi.

Following the notification received on August 7, 2025 from MEKI, the Ministry of Health immediately contacted the actor's family and offered its full support. Initially, the readiness to cover all the costs of the necessary medical intervention was guaranteed.

While awaiting the biopsy results, the need for further support in continuing treatment was identified. Even at this stage, the Ministry reconfirmed its readiness to provide full assistance.

Currently, the actor is expected to return to Albania, where he will begin treatment at the Specialized Center at QSUT.
