An Albanian couple were involved today in a macabre domestic crime in Greece, where the husband killed his wife in front of their child.
The perpetrator, a builder by profession, ran out of the building and fled on Gladstone Street, while police have launched a search to find and arrest him.
The area has been cordoned off by a heavy police presence, while an ambulance and a coroner are at the scene.
According to information from protothema.gr, the author was a drug user and had attempted suicide in June.
According to neighbors, the couple had moved into the apartment on the second floor of the building at 18 Konstanta Street a few months ago.
Shocked, they describe the unfortunate 36-year-old as a quiet, hardworking woman who worked in a factory.
She was dedicated to raising the four children she had with the perpetrator and at the same time struggling to make ends meet.
Their eldest child is an 18-year-old girl and the youngest is a boy just six years old.
A woman who owns a shop near her home stated that she had heard about the murder scene and that she "heard he stabbed her in the neck."
