We need a new national spirit!

Often at the international level, various options for organization have been tried, from federations, confederations, similar sui generis natures such as the EU or even other forms similar to universalism such as the UN.
Although all these forms have had the aim of attacking and eliminating the "nation", it still remains the genesis from which all other forms derive. Without the nation, we would not have any other reality of international organization.
The nation remains the genesis of international law, because it is based precisely on the rights and freedoms of the individual. So, the individual chooses his own form of organization and often the latter is linked to a historical, linguistic identity and to what is called collective consciousness to live and stay together in peace.
Often other forms of organization are the most advanced forms and this happens when the processes of shaping and political functioning of a nation are considered closed political processes concluded and identified in the finality with the State and its sovereignty.
Albanians belong, due to their historical misfortune, to those nations that have not concluded their final process with the identification of a state.
The dilemma of whether it will happen to Albanians as it has happened to other nations is always a debatable issue without concrete guarantees.
Of course, the history of other nations is a lesson of hope for Albanians as well, even though times have changed and international interdependence is increasingly inevitable.
However, today we have the reality that internationalization and universalism are failing to create equal conditions with equal opportunities for all nations, and this has led to the return of sovereign dialectics through populism.
The return of this dialectic attacks nations like the Albanian one that have not consolidated unification with state identification and consequently, attacks against every element by which Albanians are identified as a nation, alone, different from others, but certainly with more equal claims and rights in the community of nations will intensify in the future.
Albanians have been constantly attacked in their historical processes for the formation of a single and unitary state. This has delayed and punished the unification process of Albanians to remain open and unrealized.
On the other hand, this constant attack from the 1800s to the present day has had another positive effect by nourishing and keeping the national feeling alive to the point of a testament as an unfulfilled mission and that one day or whenever it must be done and happen! The latest theories of the "Kosovar Nation" as antagonism of the "Albanian Nation" do not surprise me at all and are nothing more than the continuation of a tradition that has constantly accompanied us in our history to hinder us. The fact that this comes from some Albanians or pseudo Albanians does not bother me either, because this has happened in the past.
Cases similar to that of Kosovo where the National flag is "desecrated", do not bother me either. Our flag has been tried several times to be banned, to disappear, but it has been raised, because there is nothing stronger than the will of a nation for its destiny over the dreams and aspirations it has.
I am not bothered by those who can be called: "traitors", "pseudo Albanians", people who think differently, believe differently, because we have always had and will have such.
In fact, thank goodness they are, because thanks to them we measure ourselves. The national process is a continuous process and it is important that it be unstoppable!
If it stops, that Nation risks dying and if this finally happens, then history and identity die along with it.
The more obstacles, traitors, or people who fight us, the more our desire to fulfill our aspirations increases.
Processes without cost and challenge are quickly forgotten and this is one of the reasons that national identity is stronger than all other forms of organization, because it is filled with memory that is impossible to forget.
Albanians need a democratic patriotism that in fact we have constantly lacked. We have had factual, historical and theoretical patriotism continuously since our genesis, but we have not had and do not have democratic patriotism that is identified with state institutions that translate into concrete policies to strengthen national identity through unity and through concrete initiatives in this direction.
It is time to move to this level of patriotism and the sound basis is the presence of political entities that put the Nation and national interest first, thus contributing to the construction of sound national platforms and policies.
The Albanian national process can be compared to Albania's efforts to enter the EU, full of challenges, steps and continuous reforms until the final goal is achieved.
